AWL Industries, Inc. is a family-owned contracting business serving the greater New York area for five decades. What Ivo “John” Pavlovich began in 1979 as an HVAC contractor has burgeoned over the decades to a full-service company offering mechanical contracting, general contracting, temperature controls, building automation systems, and specialty metal fabrication.
AWL has a large, skilled workforce of mechanics, engineers, tradespeople, and installers waiting to complete your project, and our knowledgeable office staff will work with you every step of the way. AWL employs over 100 trade workers and has collective bargaining agreements with the Sheet Metal Workers Local 28, Steam Fitters Local 638, and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Workers Local 638A. These agreements and our history of working amicably with the unions make AWL very capable of working efficiently in the public environment. In addition we are able to employ non-union labor for private jobs.
With a bonding capacity of $30,000,000 per contract and $75,000,000 aggregate AWL would like to bid on your contract of any size. AWL has a history of providing excellent service to the public sector, especially the NYC DDC, SCA, and DOC. However, we also work in the private sector.
Our metal fabrication shop extends over an entire city block with $10 million worth of equipment and a European-trained workforce. John Pavlovich emigrated from Croatia by way of Germany, bringing with him decades of education and experience in metal-working. His son Davor now runs the metal shop, producing duct for AWL’s HVAC installations as well as commercial cooking equipment and architectural metal. CAD design and CAM cutting and bending bring the latest technology to your job.
With a diverse portfolio of delivery methods and breadth of experience, AWL Industries approaches every project with the expectation of maximizing client investment and exceeding expectations. We combine Old World craftsmanship with today’s technology to meet your project goals.
